WANT TO BE A FEATURED stylist AT HAIR POP AND PALS?
Have you ever thought, “I wish I could see how it feels to teach, without the high stress of teaching?”
Are you a seasoned educator craving a lower pressure way to share what you love?
Yes?
This might be your event!
HAIR POP AND PALS is a casual, high curiosity, creative hang; built around sharing and showing up as you are. No scripts. No selling objectives. No perfection required.
We believe in being the change we want to see in the industry, so we created an event for stylists, by stylists. Molecule Salon is looking to feature around 15 stylists and/or barbers working on live models, showcasing a look that’s currently lighting them up.
Attendees of HAIR POP AND PALS get to wander the room, watch your process up close, ask questions, connect, and take inspiration from their hair community peers.
While this event is geared towards industry folks, everyone is welcome to come hang, support, and connect locally.

HAIR POP AND PALS will take place in the privately reserved back bar of GMAN Tavern in Chicago. The front bar will remain open to the public, and act as extra space for event attendees to chill
Around 15 stylists total will be featured showcasing the event.
Said 15 stylists will be broken into 3 rounds of showcasing, approximately 5 stylist each round
Each stylist will be assigned a designated spot within the room to work from. At the same time, about 4 other stylists will be working from their assigned space in the room. This is awesome, if you’re nervous about the idea of all eyes being on you.
This is not a “take your seat”, quiet down, watch a power point, and take notes kind of event. This will be an open room, walk around, interactive set up for attendees
Attendees can observe, ask questions, hover (respectfully), and move freely
This is a casual, supportive, community focused environment
-
Any licensed stylists, barbers, and/or hair creatives
Any career stage welcome
Have education experience? Great!
Don’t have education experience? Also great! You don’t need a big following, just something you’re excited to create
If you’re curious, experimental, community minded, or feeling uninspired; this is probably for you

Nope.
This is not a “traditional” teaching event, or a structured demo. There’s no power point presentations, handouts, head sheets, talking points, etc.
You’re welcome to talk about what you’re doing as attendees approach (think of it like giving a coworker advice on how you’d approach something a client asked for), answer questions and connect. There’s no pressure to “educate” in the traditional sense

Not from your showcasing station. If you’d like to sell anything, you’ll need to apply as a vendor HERE.
We will provide signage near your showcasing spot to clearly show who you are, and how attendees can connect with you beyond the event.
If you have business cards/something similar feel free to bring along too

Unfortunately, we won’t have access to any shampoo bowls to rinse color on site.
You’re welcome to showcase color, but you’ll need to independently make plans on how to rinse offsite after your showcasing round.
Have your heart set on showcasing your color skills, but don’t want to mess with how to rinse afterwards?
Suggestion… do a fun color on your model ahead of time, and showcase a cut or style day of.
Need a place in the Ravenswood area of Chicago to do said color ahead of time? Message us HERE to coordinate

LOL, dress code
